By the windowsill

painting by Nameera Pervez Temkar

Impossibly oversized grayish droplets of rain land on a windowsill as a sky of pastel colors swirl outside a windowsill atop which a forest green flowerpot sits. Three flowers (one red, one magenta, one orange-yellow) tower over an undersized seating area below the sill, with a thick cushion the size of the seating area and the color of the flowerpot. Atop the long cushion sit three tiny throw pillows: one orange and polka-dotted very dark red, one dark blue and cross-hatched with white, and one red with a goldenrod flower design at its center.
